Battery Power for Movie Playback

Can the droid battery hold up long enough to play a couple of movies, say on a 2-1/2 hour train ride? I've got a ride coming up, and if it's feasible, I'd like to load up a couple of movies to help pass the time on that commute next week. I don't have a spare battery, but am considering one especially for this purpose if necessary.
