I am an IT consultant trying to troubleshoot problems w/ exchange activesync on android 2.2
One of my customers' phones was working fine with 2.1, after the 2.2 update it does not work.
I was able to duplicate this via the emulator provided with the android API.
With a 2.1 emulator, it works fine.
With 2.2, i get an error "unable to open connection to server" , but when reviewing the IIS logs on the server I do see the request coming in from the emulator.
My main question here is has anyone gotten activesync to work on 2.2 with a self signed SSL certificate?
I also tested 2.2 against another server that has a purchased/trusted SSL certificate and it works fine.
I have the option to accept any SSL certificate checked off but that doesn't seem to matter.
