The hot word detection feature allows you to use keywords like "Hey Google" to launch Google now and perform a search. This feature is only available on the Google Now launcher. You can now use this feature on the launcher of your choosing thanks to the Active Searching app. The Active Searching app gives you Hot Word detection from your home screen. Just say "wake up" from your home screen and announce any of several commands. This is compatible with Apex, Nova, Next Launcher 3D, Touchwiz, Sense and more. You are able to choose from 3 hot word phrases including "wake up", "hey buddy", and "hey friend".
