Will Alarm Override Smart Actions Sleep Settings?

I have Smart Actions set for "sleep" until 8:00 am. It's set to turn volume to zero so alerts that say "Droid!" won't wake me up.

Some days I need to set an alarm to get up early - say at 6:00 am. Will the sleep settings prevent the alarm from sounding audibly? Or will the alarm setting override the Smart action?

I can't recall off the top of my head.

You can test the theory though. Set sleep mode for a period of time, say like 20 minutes. Set an alarm to go off 10 minutes before sleep is over and see if it notifies you? I know this isn't a direct answer but seems easy enough to test.
