Wifi question.

When I turn on my wifi the phone says that it is connected but when I open the browser the yellow line moves about a quarter of an inch the just stops. I have tried telling it to forget my network and rebooting the router to no avail. 3G works OK but the wifi is faster....when it works. Any suggestions?
