WidgetLocker +*~+*~+*~+*~+*-- WOW!!!

Just noticed another bug, right after the phone sleeps, for a second or 2 ... any of the hardware buttons wakes the phone.

Thanks Beardface. Unfortunately there isn't much I can do about this one. This is actually true even of the stock lockscreen, except the time period is shorter, but if you try disabling WidgetLocker and turn the screen off and quickly hit another hardware button it will wake the phone.

I'll look into detecting this kind of wake up though and then could have an all blackscreen, backlight set to 0, all buttons disabled, and a very short screen timeout. This same method could also be used to lock-out keys from easy-wake-mode. But ideally there would be some way to prevent the wakeup in the first place.

As for the Launcher Pro issue I imagine it's memory related. Such as the system getting low on resources so it kills LP to free up some, then LP has to be relaunched. If it does seem that the problem is only happening when you're running WidgetLocker (Just unchecking "WidgetLocker Enabled" in settings should be enough rather than an uninstall) then could you also try with WidgetLocker but with no widgets?

Thanks to those of you that contacted me about beta testing. I'll hopefully be sending something out today or tomorrow.

Ok, after playing with the app for a bit and I think the issue might be having Pandora. Now that I think about it Pandora might be a little too memory intensive. I think I will keep it the way it is and just love with it since I like my setup.

It really doesn't bother me that much. Just wish it didn't happen but for now I can live with it.

1.1.2
Nothing major here, just two bug fixes. One was bad, if you uninstalled the Launcher that WLocker Helper tried to use it would FC (Which makes it difficult to correct the problem). The other was with the screen sometimes flickering or turning itself back on if you just turned it on and off rapidly.

Still working on preparing 1.2 for the beta testers.

You might be on to something there. I had lag problems when I had all my music widgets on WL -- well, as many as would fit. My solution was to take a tip from another poster here and get Power Strip, put my music widgets on its bottom bar, and put a shortcut to PS on WL. Pandora doesn't run at all now unless I'm actually using it. Slacker does, however; I may try making that one a shortcut instead.

Why have a shortcut to PS on WL?? Make WL call on PS when you hit home... I am not even using another home with that set up, but if you still prefer to use another home, a double tap on the home button will bring you to your (3rd) home.

Kevin i know that you are already working on a 1.2 Beta, and im pretty sure you said you were trying to add in the ability to customize the slider. I would like to use the left slide as a brightness on/off toggle (like the Vibrate on/off on the right side) I currently use the Beautiful Brightness Widget for this, and did use the Beautiful Vibrate Widget until i discovered WL and just think it would be sweet to replace both of these with the slider :) was just wondering that would be possible.

THANKS!

I couldn't get the double tap thing to work with QD; didn't try with PS. This way avoids the app1calls app2 calls app3 thing; I was getting lag and black screens. Now no lags or black screen or force close.
I'll reevaluate things after Froyo.

I have a question for the developer. With stock unlock screen, the time displayed also contains the percentage charged when your phone is plugged in. This way you can figure out how close you are to achieving a full charge, I find this very useful. Is there anything that can be added to Widget Locker to resurrect this feature?

Thank you.

I'd there anyway you could make this into a home replacement? Or already make it so u can pick widget locker as an option in the power strip/qd home app setting? Just for folks that only use widget locker and power strip/qd.

Or even cooler, is it possible to make widget locker display your default homescreen as the lock screen? Instead of making a separate screen with widget locker?

There are several battery widgets that will do this. IIRC CurveFish's one has that option and it's free.

Thanks, Phoenix I will check that out.

I may add this to the lock screen clock widget at some point, but for now as people have mentioned there are widgets that can do this.

Hrm, so the Home Helper would actually launch WidgetLocker, then you could have double-tap for QD and single tap for WL (or vice versa with PowerStrip). This would have to be an advanced configuration as it could really confuse some people. I'll think about it.

Unfortunately this isn't really possible. WidgetLocker can't read the configuration from your home app and even if it could it can't add Widgets to itself without direction interaction from the user, so it wouldn't be able to automatically stay in sync anyway.

I'm perfectly fine with launching WL from the status bar icon, myself. But different strokes and all that.
