Why won't some setting stay put?? Like the keyboard

Since I installed Swiftkey, I've been lovin' it. But every couple of days, the phone decides, on it's own, to revert to the stock keyboard and it's driving me nuts. Why? How can I get it to stay put?

Make sure that Swiftkey is set as the default keyboard and after doing so restart your phone.

I'm having similar problem with my ring tones I have set for some of my favorites. Every few days it seems phone suddenly reverts to the default tone. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
