Who can't enable data connection, try this!

• This method is for one who can't enable data connection even if you set APN settings correctly.
• You need root.

Thanks for Pocketgames I able to establish data connection with Softbank SIM in Japan. I think this method will work with others too.

To enable data connection,
Rewrite /system/etc/ppp/peers/pppd-ril.options .
Add user id and password directly in it.
Then add dummy APN settings in network settings.

PocketGames Blog (in Japanese) shows pppd-ril.option screen shot, it will help you understand how to do it. He describe the method for ATRIX but it's do work on Droid Pro too. Yay!
