Solved HTC One M8 lost data connection

Hey all,

My phone has been running very slowly for the past couple of weeks, and I had been planning to back it up and do a factory reset to clean it out. Yesterday afternoon I noticed that my mobile data stopped working.

I tried turning mobile data off and on, clearing the system cache, doing a reset of the APN settings, resetting the phone itself through multiple methods, and finally doing a factory reset. Even after all this, I am still unable to connect to mobile data. I can connect to Wi-Fi and the phone functions fine, but once I'm off of Wi-Fi I lose internet connection even though mobile data is on. I also have cell service, so it can't just be a completely dead SIM card.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: For the record I am an AT&T user and I live in Michigan.

Have you gone to an AT&T store to ask why? The problem sounds like it's on their end considering all of what you have done.

Thanks for the reply, I did in fact check in with them after posting here and it was an account issue on their end.
