What Could Be Reasons Why My Wireless Tether Isn't Working?

Rooted DX, No ROM, Black Glass Theme...

It was working fine until about a week ago but then it just stopped working out of nowhere and I can't figure out why. On my phone, it still appears as if it's working but no laptop can connect. Any suggestions?

Everything on the log checked out. Everything's good on that front. But no matter who's laptop I try it on, it says connecting and then asks if the network is a home, work, or public. No matter what network I set it as, it won't connect.

The only thing I've done different from the time it was working and now is install "Type Fresh" and changed the font on my phone. Don't think that could have anything to do with it do you?

Makes no sense, but I will tell you I have had issues with the passwords on wireless tether.

You may want to revert back to stock ssid and password("abcdefghijklm") and see if you get connected. Other than uninstalling, reinstalling, running defaults, checking your laptop connection to adhoc networks, re-superuser...I am at a loss.

Uncheck Access Control. That can be an issue with some kernels.

Do you have MAC access control on? turn it off, it is useless against anyone who can read how to hack WEP.

Which tether app do you have? You can get the most recent version here: Downloads - android-wifi-tether - Project Hosting on Google Code

And they did post a new version there 46 hours ago. You might give it a try.

Thanks! And I use Wireless Tether. But I even uninstalled that and installed Barnacle to see if it was just the app and neither worked. But I'll check those threads to see If I find something. This was the major reason I rooted. LOL.
