Wireless Tether does not work?

Running bb v.05 with the preinstalled wireless tether app
turn it on
says it is tethering
laptop connects, but internet doesnt actually work

WHY, HELP??

The obvious question would be are you rooted?

I would say give it a good 5 minutes before you start using the internet. I've noticed sometimes it takes awhile for the internet to work with Wireless Tether. Sometimes I have to do an ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew a few times before it actually starts pulling data from the internet. It's really picky. So just keep trying.
