No HDMI with gingerbread

So I downloaded gingerbread on my DX and now I can't connect my phone to my tv via HDMI. It will say connecting, but stops and stays on my phone. I can't figure out why. it worked fine before the update. Any ideas?

Mine is broken too, but I think RealHDMI is the cause. Either that or my HDMI cable went bad 30 minutes after I last used it.
