Wireless tether not visible on my kindle

Hello,
I was wondering why I can't see my wireless tether with anything other than a regular computer. I try using it to connect my kindle but it doesn't show up in the available connections list. I'm using a Droidx running android 2.21 and rooted with Darkslidev4.2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated ...

Update .. had tried manually inputting SSID originally to no avail. I just turned my Kindle on and suddenly it was connected to my tether, which was already running. Maybe a reboot was necessary, but regardless, its now working..
