Voicemail notification?

I love my droid x but is there any way to get a better voicemail notification? People are leaving them and I'm totally unaware unless I check it every time I'm away from my phone even for a little while.

Should be the same as the system notification.

I have the same problem with my d1...... can't find a repeater to let me know if have a Voicemail
