Voicemail App?

I've gone into the settings and modified the voicemail number to include waits and pauses (with semicolons and commas) and it works when I call voicemail from the notifications screen...but I have a stock Voicemail app in the Launcher which I've put on the home screen. When I tap that to dial the voicemail number, it doesn't do the waits and pauses. Is there a way I can fix that?

this voicemail app you talk about is it the stock verizon Vvm.apk or some other I know nothing about?

I thinks its the little green app button that comes loaded for voicemail. I too changed my voicemail contact to add the pause then password and it works fine when i select voice mail directly from contacts but using the voicemail button it does not.
