[Video] Swype - a revolution on typing

i know me too...someone in this forum helped me hack some keyboard on mine and i luv it....the one in that video looks alot like the stock one with the extra space on the sides.

ShapeWriter is a similar program for Android that you can get in the market now. I've downloaded the 30 day free trial version and I can say it works really well and it gets better with extended use.

ivan, thanks for that, I knew I saw an app in the Market that does this already. Do you find this more accurate than tapping? Faster than two thumbs? Seems gimmicky, slow, and prone to overshooting the intended key since your momentum is across the keyboard rather than down toward it.

For me it's just a fast, if not faster after a day of getting used to it. It's very accurate for most words, but sometimes it way off due to me not swiping the keys correctly. I'd imagine it will become easier to use as time goes by. It seems VERY strange at first.

PS - You can also use it as a regular keyboard too.

Hard to go wrong with the free trial app. I'd encourage anyone to check it out.

I now switched to swype, I was using "shapewriter" and it was pretty cool, but swype seems more seemless IMO

Sweet! Gonna download now and give it a try. I like the idea of the swipe to text. I've been waiting for Swype... Shapewriter didn't appeal to me for some reason.

update: This app is great! I don't think I'll use it to replace the stock keyboard but it makes for a nice change... predictive text works pretty well too.
