Pretty much straight from the horses mouth the Bionic update won't be until early to late December.

"I know everyone is eager for updated software. We have been working diligently on a software update for DROID BIONIC and have a version in the testing stage; we expect to deliver it to users in 30 to 60 days. The update is targeting issues identified through owner feedback and we’re confident it will improve device performance. "

pretty sure Matt misspoke on that one.. either that or he was instructed to "under promise and over deliver".
the update is still expected in the next 2 weeks from what I've been told.. soak test is supposedly scheduled for roughly 10 days from now unless a major bug is discovered.

Just wondering though...where are you getting your info from that could counter a statement made by a Motorola employee? Don't get me wrong i like your reply better but I'd like to compare sources :)

I'm guessing it will be out much sooner than 30-60 days. If moto says 30-60 days and it takes 2 weeks they come off looking pretty good. If they say 2 weeks and there's a problem that causes it to take 30-60 days its a PR nightmare and people will start talking about class action lawsuits.
I'm thinking this is just a CYA move by moto.

You arent referring to another thread that just got shutdown for stupidity are you?

I honestly dont care about ICS. I just want to have a phone that doesnt drop 3g connections, doesnt lock up on me, and works as advertised. Im sure the razr will have issues too..its hard to threaten to jump ship when the other ship might have more holes.

I just want an update to make it work properly and Id be happy.

it's coming....

SOON™

Glad im not the only one with the dropping 3g issue. Will this update hit the droid 3 as well? My wifes phone drop 3g occasionally too. I thought it was just where we live. So happy to hear the fix is coming "soon".
