Here is the Data Throttling Hack for UltimateDroid 2.5.0.
I did the hack my self and applied it to mine and it booted up fine.

First boot up will take longer then normal.
Mobile Network Settings will Force Close.

Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?gy8z0ubqtdy303i

Install:
1. Put the .zip on your sdcard.
2. Use ROM Manager or boot into recovery and install it.

Supposedly this removes the cap the verizon has put on in our phones that limits the download and upload speeds on their 3g network. some users report increase in download and upload speeds. Some have raised the concern that if Verizon finds out, they can block your phone ?

Does Verizon really throttle? And when did this start happening? Today? I have seen posts everywhere about the patches and nothing about the information stating that the event is actually happening.

Could someone fill me in, please?

I was, too. I then clicked the other thread and used the first link in the OP and it worked. Try that.

go to market and down load speedtest.net its free....but with out a test before you flash the zip there's nothing to compare with unless you made a backup before flashing..you can back-up this rom then go back to your nandroid the last one run the test and then flash back and run new test for the diffrance in the score's

My speedtests are so inconsisten it is hard to know if anything has changed for sure. It seems like my upload is faster.

this mod is for when your reaching your data limit with verizon guys. normally you wont notice anything but normal fluctuation in your data flow, but if you have a 5 gb limit, then near 5 gb you"ll notice slow and this eliminates that. unlimited is still roughly 5 gb before noticing slow down, and this helping. if you check xda they have been testing this alot and figured out you see the main difference near 5gb or ur account data limit.
