Unrooted Droid By Moto and GIT

I just updated my unrooted Druid by Motorola to Android 2.2 and I was curious if JIT compiler was enabled? If it is, how can I see/change the settings for it?

If not can someone please give me a link to rooting android 2.2 for a Droid By Moto.
