hey everyone, i recently rooted my .608 installation on my D2G using the D3 method, and was wondering if there was any way to unroot it without having to sbf.
z4root might remove the APKs it installs (including the Superuser one).
I highly doubt it will restore the permissions and other such stuff, though.
Pete's Root Tools allow you to root and unroot your phone with the D3 method, however to unroot it needs backups of certain files which it does when you root with it.
You could also just read the D3 root script, understand how it works, and perform the operations in a reverse fashion (where appropriate).
i would have thought that if someone made a one click root, they would have made a one click unroot as well, not that i cant unroot myself if i had a look at the script, thanks anyway
All I know is I used the z4 unroot, because it was still on my phone. Ran the root checker app and advised that phone was unrooted. I had rooted using Pete's one click root.
