Finished a BT call and screen went black. Press power to wake and nothing. Hold power button for extended time, and nothing. Tried a few more times, nothing. Hold power and V down and finally fired up. Scary time in RAZR history for me.

Yuk! Hopefully you'll never have that again. Good thing you knew what to do.

Yeah, lockups are not fun with this thing. MY first lockup was when I installed recovery. I thought for sure I had bricked.Screen looked like it was on, but it was dead black, so I wasn't sure. Soft keys were black too.

Another possible solution

A guy at the local Batteries Plus store has a Razr, and he said his sometimes seems to go 'dead'. He found that if he just sets it aside for about 15 mintues, it always comes back to life.

Huh? Well, if it works......

I'm having the same issue with my 5 day old razr. What do you mean when you say you held down the V?

Put it on the charger for about 30 minutes.

Hold the power button and volume down button for about 10 seconds.
