The droid is a nice phone but... [fill in the blank]

• Phone shuts down occasionally, requiring battery pull to restart. No task killer app installed. VZW store claimed to have no record of the issue (though it's well documented here and on other sites) and told me they wouldn't replace the device unless they were able to reproduce the problem.
• Volume control buttons are too easily pressed by accident; the stiffer buttons on the iPod touch work better.
• A few odd glitches here and there, sometimes won't pick up WiFi, sometimes won't detect change to landscape orientation, sometimes buttons aren't backlit (not an ambient light issue), other anomalies, but mostly minor.

All in all it's a pretty respectable device. Much better than I anticipated.

if your phone is shuttind down randomly, this is not normal behavior. go to a different store. if you're within your 30 days, they should exchange it, no questions asked.

I would have liked for the dedicated camera button to be painted with quality paint. BTW I have a white camera button with a gold spec in the middle

The camera isn't that great if you have a baby that moves so fast that all the pictures of her are blurry LOL Oh well, I have a DSLR to take pictures with... My Droid just does everything else! :icon_ banana:

I get the freeze that requires a battery pull maybe once every week or two. My gut is that it's related to Twidroid.

come on guys can you really expect a company to produce thousands or even hundreds of thousands of any product and have them all come out the same??? It is not a perfect world after all but now it is a droid world and we should all smaile and be happy otherwise they will turn on us.........

But... I wish you could remove portions of a email you want to forward.
But... I wish it wasn't so addicting... Ha!

^this, or turn off forwarding all together (gets redundant in some back-to-back conversations).
And... LANDSCAPE support for the home-screen... I can't fathom why the h&!! they would have left that out...
