The droid is a nice phone but... [fill in the blank]

You most likely have a bad app on your device... or a lemon. This is not normal behavior and by no means is a battery pull necessary... let alone doing them daily. This isn't a BB.

Yeah I havent even had to pull my batt and ive had it a month...i havent even restarted it in over a week..my only issue is the MMS seems to be a pain in the ass unless I have something configured wrong in handcent but I cant seem to figure out what that may be

Yeah coming from a blackberry storm two, I had to do a battery pull almost everyday. Id got use to it and not with the droid it weird because I feel like I need to but I know I don't.

wish...........it was easier to figure things out instead of having to refer to this forum or the lousy owners manual. Had my phone from day one and I "finally" have it pretty well in hand.

OP, saw your post in another thread. Task Killers are probably contributing to your device constantly freezing. GET RID OF IT!

I've been using TasKiller for some time now (got my Droid at the beginning of December) and I've had no freeze issues. I've never had to do a battery pull, although once or twice it randomly restarted.

I merely wish the Droid had multi-touch, Flash, and the ability to save game/app files to the SD card which should all be temporary issues.

The only other thing I wish for was that there was a little more user control by default without having to root the device. It would be nice to remove unwanted OEM apps by default without voiding your warranty. Perhaps I want to remove the calculator and replace it with a better version I got from the Marketplace instead of having two calculators. You could then just backup OEM .apk's and revert back as you saw fit. Not much to ask for, if you ask me. :)

Some people have luck with using a Task Killer. To them I say... "If it ain't broke don't fix it". But in the OPs case he's having major issues with his Droid (daily battery pull is not right, nor is freezing) so I wanted to start where a lot of problems arise from... task killers :)
