Texting Nightmare

I read about this problem a week ago and now I can't find the thread that had a fix for it......I can only enter 1 word at a time , then I have back out and reenter the messaging app. It is a friggin nightmare !

The only fix I know is to reset your phone. Or get another Keyboard App. That's about it.

I found the thread this is the fix . Menu, Settings, Applications, All, Multi Touch Keyboard, and clear data . Thanks for your help though.

Yes manage apps and clear keyboard data fixed the problem for me also a few days ago. I was about to get really mad if I had to go back yet again to Verizon store to fix it till I found these forums. Best forum ever besides beeradvocate

Thank you thank you! My whole phone would freeze up everytime I used a punctuation key while texting. So frustrating. Your clear keyboard suggestion worked!

I just did not have time to go to Verizon this week and it was getting annoying that EVERYTIME I used the space bar it would leave texting. Your fix was the answer I needed.

What version of Android are you running? This problem was fixed in the 2.3.4 update for the X2.

Says I am running 2.2.2

How do I update. Everytime I lick on on System Updates it says "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later"

Aside from the "clear data" recommedation there are a few things that will clean up the stock keyboard, kill "auto-correct errors" and "next word prediction". I have not had a problem since...
