some noob questions

Hi all, new Droid Incredible user here and i have a couple of questions...

-I know the batteries on these are suppose to be bad but is it suppose to be this bad... A little bit ago it was fully charged 100%, i took it off from the usb cable and 3minutes and 22 seconds later (i checked) im at 94% a 6% drop is a little over 3 minutes?? This was with just about everything off by the way, No GPS, No WiFi, No Bluetooth... is this normal?

-I'm using the HandcentSMS app for texts,(its also doing this with the stock app) and its got the same person/same phone number as to different entrys.. is there a way to join these 2 together. I sent somebody a text and their reply didnt come back in the same thread, it started its own new one...bugs me.

-I'm having a problem where i put some ringtones/music/wallpaper onto the SD card that came with the phone and one day they were all in there and my people all had their own individual ringtones and i had some music to listen to, etc ..and yesterday i had none of them. Everyones ringtone was set back to default, i had no music to listen to. but when i plug it back in to see whats up, all my stuff is there again...

-I've given up hope that the gmail app will push anything to me, have to refresh it everytime, the stock email app works but i'd like it better if the gmail one would work. also, im pretty sure i already know the answer to this (and its no..) but does the gmail app have a visual little bubble pop up and show the number of new emails in the inbox?

You have quite a few different things goin on here. First I would say since you say you are a new Dinc owner, to do a factory data reset. It can solve a lot of problems. Back up what apps and data you have with Astro, and make sure your contacts are google contacts. That way they will come right back in.
Next, no the standard battery isnt the greatest, but it shouldnt lose that much that fast. I just posted a thread about the HTC 2150. My wife and I both have the Dinc and that battery and its insane how much time you get out of that thing.
As for the multiple contacts, just log into gmail (on your computer) open your contacts and you will see a button for show multiple contacts. Click that and when the list comes up, click merge. You phone will get that list in just a minute.
Hope this helps. Let me know if ya need help with any of the above.

hey thanks for replying, I might try the factory reset. as far as the text message problem, i already had all my contacts merged so i dont think the problem was coming from that.
