no volume on music player for kyocera event

my ringtones, text alerts, alarms, and touch tones all work fine. but when i try to listen to music on the music player, the volume is extremely quiet. the only way you can hear it is if you put it right up to your ear, and even then it is very quiet. i have tried installing other music player apps but they all have the same problem. suggestions anyone? thank you

nevermind, i fixed it. all i had to do was take out the battery, leave it out for about 30 seconds, then put it back in and it worked. im stupid, i shouldve tried that first.
