The Storm... or lack of it. yes I am still using it and yes it's better since the new OS, but to have to beta test it for a year so they could release the "proper" Storm...

That and Google/Open Source/10,000 apps Sounds like a win to me!

wifi really.. that's originally why i wanted the storm 2
Same here. I was really watching for release of Storm 2 when I started looking into DROID. I've never been one to buy right when a new thing comes out...much less not having even touched it...but I WANT it!

In a van by the River......
What sold me on the droid was the storm 2, i waited for so long for that phone just to be disappointed when i touched it.

this seems to be the common denominator.. same thing for me, i was waiting for the S2 and then the buzz about android. Ive always loved android but never owned one since im loyal to verizon wireless. A good buddy has a G1 that is rooted with a custom rom and its absolutly amazing. He is also switching from tmobile to verizon on friday just for this phone.

Probably the search function......

One search box that scans the web, contacts, messages, etc. How cool is that?

Most of all... the email capibility. I'm a volunteer with the Metro Fire CERT Program and as the volunteer coordinator, needed the ability to send emails to large numbers of people in preselected groupls with a large signature and disclaimer statement and to do it BCC meant only one thing.. Blackberry doesn't. iPhone doesn't, but DROID DOES...
After that there's a whole heap of reasons, but that's where it started.
