You'll have to help me to help you. What SAs have you set up yet, and please list with each one, what the trigger is, and what actions it's to take when the trigger is activated. I'll work with you to clean it up so your phone will last all day.;)

OK, so you have both the Battery Extender and the Low Battery Saver set up. The ONLY triggers you have for the Battery extender are the Not Charging and No Movement? As for actions, you have it turning off GPS, disabling background sync and shutting down cellular data. Questions for that one...

1) How long does the phone sit while not charging and not moving? In other words, are you carrying the phone around (as this would obviously prevent this SA from activating)?
2) What about other settings like Brightness, Screen Timeout, WIFI, Bluetooth?
3) What do you have set up so that when you ARE using the phone, it will turn ON those actions?
4) How much time during the day do you actually use the phone for various functions?

Next, Low Battery Saver...

1) You have it triggering with Battery below 20% and Not Charging, but any other triggers?
2) Again, other than Brightness, GPS, & Background Sync actions, what about adding WIFI, Bluetooth, Screen Timeout?
3) What do you have set up so that when you ARE using the phone, it will turn ON those actions?

With BOTH, you can have WIFI being turned off while the phone is off (Display Off), and then on again once you turn the display on. This trigger works perfectly and happens instantaneously. Motion is not a fast-acting action, meaning it waits for an extended period of inactivity before it triggers. Perhaps the better Trigger is simply Display Off?

Trigger: Display Off
Action: WIFI Off, GPS Off, Background Sync Off, Bluetooth Off

Trigger: Display On
Action: WIFI On, GPS On (if that's what you want), Background Sync On (again if you want), Bluetooth On (ditto)

By turning WIFI off as well, you'll save even more power while the phone is at rest, even if you're carrying it around in your pocket.

Give me feedback and we can look at other tips for you.

For reference, I'm at 7:30 for time on, 40% remaining, and have made phone calls, Tikl Touch calls, Tango Video calls, surfed the web, texted, checked email, played Wolf Toss, used the GPS for navigation and Motorola Car Finder, edited contact list, replied to postings here, and just played around in the market. All the while, 4G is on and ready while on WIFI and was active while in the car. Also, Data remained enabled 100% of the time, as with Background Data and Bluetooth, but GPS was off while not in the car.

At the moment, the percentages are as follows (sorry I'm not rooted ATP so no screen print):

Display 34%
Voice Calls 28%
Android OS 14%
WI-FI 9%
Cell standby 4%
Phone idle 3%
Motorola Car Finder 3%
Wolf Toss 2%
Tango 2%

Thank you! You could put this together as an FAQ!

Does the screen technically turn on when the silver button is pressed,
or when the screen is swiped to the right (or left for camera) after the silver button is pressed?

I could get in-inadvertent button presses in my pocket.

FoxKat's post has transformed my RAZR from a need's charged every 4-5 hours to only charging at night! Thanks man!

Trigger = Display off

Actions = wifi off, cellular data off (texts do come in!), gps off, background sync off, (Bluetooth is already off by default)

and

Trigger = Display on

actions = all that stuff back on :D
