SlingPlayer finally coming to Android

Just came across this news: The SlingPlayer is finally coming to Android phones this summer. This was THE app that I've been wanting ever since I picked up the Droid. I can't wait til it releases!

Damn, I was really excited about this, until I realized I would have to buy a sling box for $180.00 and a sling turbo for $80.00, on top of the $30.00 app. Looks like I'll have to pass, unless $290.00 magically falls into my lap!

I had the slingplayer with windows mobile it was prob. one of the best apps i had on my phone, and i've been waiting for this app on the droid since launch day when i got my droid. now i dont have to feel like i've wasted my money on the purchasing of the slingbox about 2 or 3 years ago now. :icon_ banana:

There is no subscription fee or anything, you just need to buy the slingbox itself hook it up with your router, and your cable and BAM tv on your droid

I have an old slingbox but its a tuner edition. hmmmm, too bad I have all HDMI's now.
