Seidio desktop cradle pre orders

Anybody else gotten backorder notices from Seidio for this? I ordered mine last tuesday and got an email wednesday saying it was back ordered. It still says shipping now on the website, but mine has not shipped. I have been charged for it. Im going to be contacting them tomorrow.

i ordered on 1/11...not real happy that my cases were held until the cradles came in to ship...
 
Got my order today. I ordered the Innocase Surface black with the desktop cradle kit and the premium leather case. I have to say I'm fairly disappointed with everything at this point. The Innocase was very hard to get on. I tried calling Seidio. Although their phone system said they were there, I couldn't get through to anyone. No one was called me back either. This is supposed to be great support? The cradle doesn't work well with the Droid. It is very hard to get it to go on properly. The premium leather case has one of the worst magnetic covers I've ever seen. A gentle breeze would dislodge it. What is wrong with velcro anyway? Why go with magnetic and then put such a weak magnet on it to make it useless?

I'm seriously considering returning everything at this point. Seidio hasn't one me over in any department...
 
I bought the cradle that doesn't come with a cable. I have a question about the OEM cable that comes with the Motorola Multimedia station. Does anyone know if the IC chip that keeps the battery from being over-charged is in the termination of the OEM cable or in the station itself? If not, I'm wondering if the Seidio charger has that protection built in.

This would almost certainly be handled by the power management IC on the Droid itself.

Not sure why your having problems in terms of installation of the case or the cradle. I've had the innocase for weeks and I'm really impressed with it. My cradles (ordered 1 for home and work) arrived over the weekend and getting the phone in and out of both cases is pretty flawless.

Guess it's just luck. BTW I ordered the gray case and it matches perfectly with the cradle - the cradle cover feels like the same material.

Sorry about your experience, please PM your order number, we will take care of this in a timely manner. As far as the cradle goes, did you happen to remove the Smartphone Attachment from it. If you are using our case with the cradle, you will have to remove it to make it work properly.

I ordered a case and cradle (seperately) Thursday at midnight. Really disappointed it didn't ship Friday, and now they've apparently lied to me and told me it shipped (via USPS) yesterday (a holiday) ? I also sent an email asking if I can have my order updated to the cradle and case combo that I haven't heard back on, but that's my own fault.

So far, not an bad experience, but definitely not the kind of service I'd expect with what their accessories cost.

Thanks for the reply. I still haven't gotten a call back from Seidio, but at this point I don't think that is necessary. I was finally able to get the case on after man tries. It took four hands to do it, one holding each corner. The leather case seems to work OK, but I have it pop open all the time. Please consider coming up with a better attachment than this weak magnet system.

The dock works fairly well with the case on (and the insert removed). It does not work well at all with the insert in with a naked Droid. At this point I have most of the parts working, so I will probably keep them. Thanks again for your reply.
 
I've found mine slides on more easily if I tilt it toward the front while dropping it in.
Same for me.
Gotta check that travel charger now when I get home... :icon_eek:
I also purchased the kit because the OEM charger cord is way too short.
I checked my travel charger and it feels cool. I checked it with the phone in the dock overnight and without the phone docked and it was cool both times.
 
Received my cradle today. Nice product. I'm using the OEM cable that came with my multimedia station. I'll check back if the cable or cradle are hot after overnight charging.

Charge/Sync cradle not working. NO charge, No Sync

I received my charge cradle today. I plugged in my droid and the light in the back showing USB is green, the phone goes into multimedia mode, but it DOES NOT charge nor will the computer recognize it. I'm running windows 7, 64 bit.
I'm concerned in the fact that its not charging. I tried 2 different mini USB cables and nothing and if you plug the droid in with just the cable connected to either the OEM wall charger or PC it charges just fine, so its definitely not a cable issue.

Please advise Seidio representative, thanks! (I already sent you a PM with my order #).

Dock Issue

I got mine today. Same issue. Green light comes on when cable is plugged into the dock. Phone will not charge. My cable charges my phone fine when it is connected directly to the phone.
 
I got mine today as well. Charges great from the wall. Haven't tried my computer, and probably won't because I have a seperate cord for that. I <3 this thing!
