Seidio desktop cradle pre orders

Got mine today. Nice dock, and feels sturdy. After a little scrubbing with hand sanitizer and a paper towel, the logo comes right off the front as well.

One complaint: The phone doesn't seem to slide in effortlessly like on my Motorola dock. You have to wiggle it a bit to get it to drop in. Maybe I just haven't figured out the right angle/alignment yet.

I wondered if there would be a magnet to put it in dock mode.. thanks for the pics

The rep from Seidio on this site confirmed that there is a magnet in both docks.

I received my dock cradle today and am happy to confirm it has the magnets to trigger MM mode (although this has been confirmed in other posts). Fit and finish are good. I use the dock with my Innocase on the Droid and am very pleased. Minor wiggle to get the usb connector inserted, but there is a sweet spot in which it slides right it. Just don't force it and you will be fine.

Once I have the car kit from them I plan to mount it to my Pro-Clip vehicle specific dash mount and will be good to go!

Got mine this morning, goes in just fine. If you have an innocase make sure to take out the plastic insert.

Its got the magnet in place to change tell it to change. Way cool, may order a second one to put by my bed to make it into an alarm clock.

I got mine today and everything looks good. I don't recommend this unless you plan on using their cases though. The insert they included for a naked phone is kind-of a pain. It doesn't want to stay in too well which could be fixed with some sort of glue but not as ideal for use with a case.

Got my dock in the mail today. I'm very pleased. Its solid, looks great, slides in easy, charges my phone and puts it into dock mode... all while the phones in it's Inocase!

Got mine yesterday, but it is tricky to slide in and engage the connector.
Other then that it works fine.
Have to get used to working in portrait mode though when it is sitting on my desk.

New dock not charging?

My new dock will only charge my phone when I use the original charger that came with the phone. It won't charge with the Seidio travel charger they sent with it?

Strange...mine works fine with an Ultra Micro USB cord i bought because the one that came with it is WAY to short.

Try plugging it directly into the phone and see if it works. If not, you may have a defective cable.

This dock looks like it would work with the similar style snap on leather case sold by verizon. Just how 'exact' is the fit to the seido case? I have the leather snap on 2 peice case from Verizon that I like alot and would like to get the cradle without buying a new case?

My main complaint is how hard it is to get it to slide into the dock.
Feels like it will break the connector.
Haven't been able to figure out the sweet spot.
