Screenshots of peoples Droid desktops?

Nope, it's a great app, just make sure you enable Persistant mode in the performance options.

what is persistence mode?

I also have another question (kind of off topic) but do all these widgets eat up the battery faster? Also, if I DL a lot of apps are they all running all the time, hence further eating up the battery?

The widgets can, yes. Depending on the length of time you have them check for updates (Weather updates, Twitter updates, etc).

Persistent mode just has Home++ keep everything in memory so it runs much smoother. I never realized it until today and the performance is night and day.

when you select" persistent home "on , it says that "it may reduce overall system performance", how much does it hurt it?

I've had nothing but performance gains from it, that's exactly why I never thought to check it until someone mentioned it today.

Just give it a shot, run it for a few hours, you won't notice any negative effect.

Edit: The biggest gain I've seen from it is the damn app drawer moves totally fluid now, win. Yes, I'm simple.

Trying to upload screenshots. Using Home++ to capture. Getting error message "png has wrong file extension".

Any help?
I found this out quite a while ago and emailed the dev about it. He hasn't fixed it yet. The problem here is that Home++ takes screenshots in png format and saves them with the .jpg extension. This confuses Photoshop, The Gimp, etc. All you have to do is rename 039503890984.jpg to 039503890984.png and it will behave like it should.

Thanks for the info........

Read an earlier post about using MS Paint to open and save as .jpg, that also worked.

Kind of surprised me when I went to Photoshop to "stitch" the screens together and it wouldn't open them.

I'm not quite sure why you have to take them to Photoshop after you take the screenshot? I know some people put the screens together, which is nice, but since I don't use nor ever used Photoshop, what I do is take the screenshot, send it to my Photobucket account, then just take the link and paste it into the message on here. It's never been a problem with the Droid or when I had my Storm and using CaptureIT.

I can not figure out how to make a screenshot, can someone explain it too me?
Not sure how far along in the process you are. Have you gone to the Market and searched for Home++ and installed it yet? The instructions are there. Once its installed you just have to press the camera button, which is below the volume rocker, and it will screenshot for you.
