how do you like the "2.0.1 with 2.1 Apps" setup?

I'm diggin' it to be honest. It runs smoothly, no hiccups, no force closes or anything. It runs all my apps fine and has the look and feel of 2.1. It's definitely a safe move and doesn't require root to do.

2.1 Felt a little sluggish and had a couple bugs I didn't like. So I went back to 2.0.1 with apps and I like it. :icon_ banana:

How do you get the icons shown for TFLN & FML?

They're apps available from the market. FML is free, but TFLN is like $2 or something. :biggrin:

That clock is one of the HeroClocks, HeroClock1 to be exact. There are several nice clocks in that widget.

OK, now that I have sifted through 104 pages of information and seen all the repetitive questions, I have a few of my own that I have not seen asked. So here goes,

1. When I try and purchase the Beautiful Widgets it keeps giving me an invalid card. I have paid for other applications with this card. So I go and look at the bank account and there is plenty of money in the account. So I go and try to pay with a different card and it says there is a problem with this card. Again money in the account. What gives, I have e-mailed them and they don't respond.

2. I try and acquire Swype and when I put it in to the APP store search it comes back with no results.

3. Has anyone else had a problem with 1Panda keep force closing, what about the SD widget?

Thank you to everyone for sharing all your great ideas and information. It is a great phone and I came from the blackberry and then to iPhone. So I am very excited about the business tools that are available. This is a great resource, please keep it going.

Search for Swype in the search bar and it will give you instructions how to install it. I just did it, basically if you go to muff.in on your Droid browser then click download on the right........follow steps you'll be ok. I pulled up the site on my lap top while dl'ing it on my Droid just to make sure I followed instructions. Hope I helped!

Re: credit cards, are you using a Visa card? If not, try that. Any international purchase in a different currency than dollars rejects most non-Visa cards. Took me forever to figure that out, I was trying with Discover.

I have tried to use two (2) seperate Visa Check Cards. I know there is plenty of money in the account and am not one to shy away from supporting developers. So paying for a $1.40 app is a joke. I have contacted them and asked them what their problem is. I have gone into my Google account and that was a fricken' nightmare.

I'm having the same problem. At first I thought it may be a protection against fraud because I bought a number of apps at once yesterday, but I tried again later on with a different card and had the same problem (both cards are Visa). I refunded it after the first purchase but it only allows you to do it once, so now I am stuck with an app that won't install. I just e-mailed the developer.

So, I recently removed Home++ and just added it back on again yesterday (about 3 hours later). I could not deal with the ugly Status bar not going away without having to root my phone and the sluggishness of Home++ seemed to have started when I started using Apps Organizer app. So I removed Apps Organizer and reinstalled Home++. I decided to give the "More Icons Widget" a shot and I absolutely love how I can put every app Icon that previously took 3+ screens all in one row. I now have room to actually personalize my phone a bit more with pictures of my wife and family. I wish there were a better Picture Frame like widget with some size options but this will do for now.
