Screenshots of peoples Droid desktops?

I leave the middle screen blank, and have big clock and weather and a few basic things on the left. On the right I have more apps that I use more frequently. Good idea about folders I used them on the Storm to group apps. With the slide up window on my middle home screen it's really no bother to get to what I want either. Now IF there was a way to get six home screens with each their own background. lol

ok....I downloaded the paid version of weather widget but how do I install it to get it going as my main screen....it's very confusing!

Remove the google search bar by holding down on it and dragging to the garbage at the bottom of the screen. Now hold down on the screen and add widgets. You might need 2 lines for it to work.

thanks!....now how do I get the different skins?....I downloaded a black widow one but can't figure out how to get it running

You can change it in Settings to a pattern unlock if you want. There are also some apps that will replace it such as LockBot or Lock 2.0 but so far I haven't been very pleased with them on the Droid.

Oh and FlyScreen will replace your lockscreen with an RSS reader so you can read updates to your favorite sites/blogs without unlocking the phone.

Just some options to try if you feel like it.

That's the new look with 2.0.1 :) It's just the stock Music widget. I like it much better than the old white one. The buttons are bigger and I like how simple it is.

sweetness... installed the 2.0.1 update and have root access.

So far, here's what I've customized:

Using Home++ as alternate home. Love the minimalist design with the hidden notification bar and quick-access bar along the bottom. It also has more pages if needed - I'm using four at the moment:

LEFT: Photo, Audio, and Navigation (a folder full of shortcuts to 'directions' - saved addresses basically)

HOME:Status and most frequently used apps

RIGHT: most used contacts

BACK: (the four screens loop with Home++, so I think of this page as the 'back' of the square) System Utilities

(you'll notice I like the new 'picture frame' widget from 2.0.1 .. having four screens fits my family of 5 perfectly :D)
