More than likely, the Tweet above is probably designed to be a tease for the big event that Samsung is having next Monday at 6PM in New York City. Word is out that this event will be the official U.S. launch of the Samsung Galaxy S II, but may include some other interesting announcements as well. Thanks to our tipster for the Tweet!

We have some pretty amazing news to go along with that. GalaxyForums.net and DroidForums.net staff will be live on site for the Samsung Press Event! That's right... we will be bringing you direct coverage of the Samsung Mobile Major Product Announcement on Monday, August 29th at 6PM, from New York City. This is also great news for GalaxyForums.net as we are focusing it to become the Premier site for all your Samsung Galaxy product news, including and especially the amazing new Galaxy S II lineup of phones. GalaxyForums.net will play host to our live coverage of the NYC event!

Also, to go along with this announcement, below is a new video ad for the SGS2 coming to America. It's a bit "risque'", but is definitely only PG-13, and pretty funny "to boot"!

At the 00:48 mark of the video, the date on the phone reads "09/09".

I just checked and it is the same video... what confuses me is that every time they hold the phone up, it has the middle "hard" button, but at the end in the title shot, it does not... World version vs. the US version?

I'm hoping it keeps the dedicated home button seeing as how I bought a Zagg case based on that design.

Same, I feel like it looks a little better, but the capacitive buttons would make it look sleeker.
