I'm coming from: (in order)

Fission (Derezzed theme)
Fusion (Derezzed theme)
Squidly Full Blur (no theme)

and now RubiX.

my complaints with angdroid's Fission and Fusion come down to the overclock module not loading

Squidly's drove me nuts with the constant LED blink. couldnt figure out how to turn the damn thing off cause i couldnt see my other LED notifications.
u have no idea how angry this made me!

RubiX is just fawking amazing. super fast, took the Derezzed theme that is actually designed for Fission.

since my frustrations with Squidly's, i found an excellent app called Lightflow.
for each type of notification (missed call, sms, mms, facebook, gmail, low battery, the list goes on...)
you can control what sound is played, the color of the LED, how to clear the notification, all kinds of things.

you can also disable all some parts of the notifications for the hours you are sleeping, or when you have it on the charger (if you dont sleep the same schedule every day)

ill post some screenies soon.

Good Looks Cron..AM hopping on the Bandwagon as well..Great FRICKING theme in Derezzed..It's Like TRON to the 10th power:)

Not go pull you away from rubix (which is an awesome rom btw), but you should check out liberty too. Liberty is kind of a compilation of all the good things of the roms

if im not mistaken, isnt liberty based on gummyjar?

Was on Liberty 1.5 and it ate my batter like crazy. Went back to rubix and I'm up to my normal 28+ hours of use.

Yes, rubix and liberty both have gummyjar pieces. Drod2169 has said that gummyjar 2.5 themes will work on rubix 2.0.1 also. Liberty is a great rom but Rubix is an amazing rom, my battery is hard to kill and its screaming fast.

I think I tried liberty for all of 5 mins.

That was back when I was blinded by the blur and thought I needed it, so I quickly moved on.

I also didn't kno much about roms, as I'm really only proficient in standard flavors of linux. (No password for su? GASP!) :)

So I never gave liberty a chance, never tried gummy, but I hear he does excellent work, and this is only hardened by the fact that other build on his work.

Quite the thriving development community here.

This is my current homescreen. Not gonna shoot the others cause of fb and local weather containing self identifying info that I can't be bothered to censor :)

I'm open to suggestions for a cleaner interface. I like the minimalistic words-for-icons trend, but haven't researched it yet.

Edit: seems the tapatalk image upload feature is broken after that last upload.

So tried out 2.0.1 on Saturday (first time trying rubix). Well it did go so well. I flashed 2.0.1 and the dx to d2 zip. Ran good for a short bit. Then when I would wake my phone up my lockscreen would be frozen and I would have to reboot. Or it would unlock into a blank screen. Idk I couldn't find the regular 2.0 zip which is really what I wanted to try seeing as it seemed to be doing good for everyone

Did you flash them both together? Im sorry it didn't work for you. Drod2169 has said that there will be a droid2 version when he gets time. You should definately check it out again when it comes out.

ya i flashed both together. i may try it again soon. i also flashed imoseyon's kernel tweak. i really wanna see how it is.

You should only flash one thing at a time, I know its a pain but I think that's what went wrong. Also drod2169 already has optimized sysctl, he said his settings are very detailed, I'm wondering if that had something to do with it too, rubix has its own kernel tweaks and I've left them alone, just setting the governor to interactive. rubix is the most stable rom I've used since I left fission.

Does Rubix 2.01 have the really cool animations in it like Darkslide? I actually loaded Darkslide onto my D2 and love it. Maybe wanting to try Rubix.
