Rooting before 2.2 help

I was wondering why it would benefit me to root before the official 2.2 comes out?

Is more likely that the 2.2 will affect all the OS parameters that allow you to root. And Anyway developers will work on the same OTA to release it rooted (PETE IS WORKING ON THAT ALREADY).

So my advice to you and to all is this... ROOT NOW AND DON'T INSTALL THE OTA!!!!
