If you have been waiting on a method to root 5.1.1 before updating your Galaxy S6 the wait is now over. The root method involves flashing a custom kernel which automatically roots your device installing busybox in the process. This is a unified kernel so it can be flashed to all devices. Of course this will not work on the Verizon variants, but will work on all the others including 920 and 925 F / I / S / K / L / T / W8 devices. There are both Twrp and odin flashable versions of the kernel. Head to the link below to download.
