Is it safe to install rubix and a theme in the same "session" of clockwork? i.e. when the ROM finishes installing, is it okay to install the theme zip before rebooting system?
It is possible. My preference. I install the rom and get my phone set up the way I want. Then, I add kernels or themes. If for some reason I have a problem or tire od a theme, I restore the backup. It sames a lot of time and rework, in my opinion.
It is possible but it is best to setup your phone first and create a fresh backup first. What if it the theme does not apply correctly for some reason or maybe you dont like it? Its easier to run a backup then just reflash the rom over again. Patience my young padawan. i always wanted an opportunity for that.
I have done a rom install and theme install in the same recovery session, although the points above make me wish I hadn't. just cause of the convenience of being able to flash back to my original state if some is FUBAR.
i have had both a D1 and a DX and have installed both ways...both a rom and a theme together and seperate...and iv only have maybe 2 instances where when i installed the rom and the theme together and stuff didnt end up working correctly...but mainly it was just the theme somehow erased a couple of the google apps and when i reflashed and this time installed the rom and theme seperate everything worked perfectly. so not really to big a deal. i guess it just comes down to preference
