Rezound vs Nexus, which should i get?

I forgot all about the rezound, thinking that is a better phone then the nexus because it has a faster cpu, better camera, 8hr battery, better screen, might be a little heavy, but spec vs spec is the rezound better? I like the nexus, but sick of waiting.

Well, the faster CPU doesn't really matter because its not actually faster. The nexus is coming with one of the most powerful processors in a phone right now, and ICS is coded to run the best on TI's processors. Also, how do you know it has a better screen if you haven't seen both in person?

Plus you can buy the Rezound today. Still don't have an official release date for the Nexus.

Yes, ICS is optimized to run dual-core phones at the highest most efficient way possible.

Now considering ICS is new from the ground up, it doesn't mean there won't be bugs once it gets to the Rezound, or any other device for that matter. These updates will most likely be considered the "first wave" of ICS devices even though they're coming through as an update, making it even more of an unknown.

Statistically, yes it has more power, but how that applies to the real world use may have different results.

Just because it runs at 300mhz higher doesn't mean it's faster or better. Just like having a car with 350 horsepower doesn't mean you'll beat one with 300. Same thing applies to megapixels. It's crazy how many times this has been said in the forum and people still haven't caught on.

Get yourself a nexus. Get something new, something different and something exclusive. Not a phone that will be outdated in a month by another htc.
On top of it all this is googles baby. First updates and if something is wrong with it it's only one phone they need to fix not ten.

I personally wannaget this nexus and never get another non nexus device again.

Tired of all the nexus hating posts here. People need to realize that they're buying androids (made by google) When motorola htc and samsung make their own os then you can show off about how much the nexus is horrible. Nexus=google. Everything else=phone running googles os

I mean the Nexus runs, if it ever actually comes out, ICS which is android OS so I'm not sure how they only run their own OS. I mean yeah they tweak it but so could somebody sitting in their moms basement with a lot of free time. I mean its hard to say its this amazing phone when they can't even get it released...

Very true. I don't know if this is 100% true or not but I read that the extra processing power in the rezound is used to power some internal thing tthat has to do with Beats. I'd definitely go for a Resound over the Nexus though- Nexus is like the iPhones dumb cousin... and I hate iPhones

I really hate what all of this has done to the forums. Someone just wanted to gain some info about a future purchase and it becomes a who's richard is longer argument. I have a rezound and am getting a nexus but can't even point out the goods stuff with out worry of people jumping to defense of another phone. I know were all on edge waiting for those jerks to release the darn phone but lets all relax.

What I've seen is all specs and power rankings aside, nobody ever takes into the picture of what type of user might be posting the question. This changes the answer drastically in my view. If you love to have the freedom to change and mod and theme then of course the Nexus, but if your an everyday normal type who could care less about that stuff maybe the Rezound is better for that situation. Also if you like the thrill of a phone getting rooted and unlocked by people in communities just like this one like I do the Nexus while awesome does lose some of that thrill for me. If phones where easy to hack then there would be no reason for this forum, I would have never need help gaining root on the OG 2+ years ago.

Bottom line, these phones are far above anything we have had yet and they are really close in specs, so the specs shouldn't even be involved, lets enjoy the fact that there is great options out there including the RAZR not my favorite but not due to specs I just didn't like it.

im waiting on the nexus to come so hopefully i can get the rezound for cheap for my wife. but ill wait on nexus. my little brother will be getting the nexus when it comes out so im in no rush. D1 is still going strong (most times) LOL i saw some where amazon has 100 gc for buying/renewing for rezound vaild until dec 31st. so im waiting to see if there is a better deal.
