It's not a settings problem, I have the same issue. Maps and Nav work good but anything that relies on google for location doesn't work??? When you installed the rom and signed back into google did it go REALLY fast? I believe that is the problem. It's not settings, I guess it is just something between some people's phones and this rom??? I hope it gets fixed in v7...

idk, because at any-point those can be changed within the OS. Have you checked location and security? Can the OS use gps?

My settings are correct..might reinstall but don't really want to wipe and all

try a market fix..

explanation
========================================================
when i compile i build from source it gives it a build ID of MASTER

the build ID should be FRF84B, some phones run into issues if that isn't correct, others are fine..

idk what determines why some have issues and others dont..

I'll give that a try when 7 comes out, if I still have the same problem...

These old eyes

I installed the themed rom first, and just can't read the font well enough.
Then installed the stock rom. But the font didn't change.

...is there a way I can go back to the stock font?

Thanks,
Matt

I'm not sure, but you should really wipe anytime you want to go from theme to non-theme...to avoid issues or leftovers lol

your right as long as your coming from another froyo rom there is no need to wipe unless your having issues. if you want to change font's heres the easiest way to do so

download this metamorph zip.
Download

unzip that file then place the unzipped folder on your SD card in your "android themes" folder

open metamorph on the phone then select pick existing theme select the fonts folder.... then scrolldown till you see a file called skaggzfont0.9.1.xml

this will bring up a list of all available fonts scroll down till you find "Sub Theme: Stock_Font.cpy" select that then hit "apply it" after its done it will ask you to reboot and your done.

if you want to see what the other fonts look like you can go here to see an image of each.
Fonts - Skaggz Hackz

if you dont have metamorph its free in the market.

Love this ROM. By far the best and fastest I've tried thus far. I usually run a series of 3-5 Quadrant tests to see what kind of score I can top out at; with this ROM I netted a new high of 1785 (using P3's LV 1.25). However I did run into a few kinks: 1) I also have been experiencing the location issue with the browser; 2) I could not get Email to accept any manual settings for an account, something about not getting a secure connection; 3) The YouTube HQ app would not properly play any videos... I usually got a blank screen with audio or no play at all. I fixed the latter two by pulling working apks from another ROM and replacing them in this one. Haven't tried fixing the Browser issue that way, so I don't know whether or not it would work. I supposed I could try and report back. All in all, this is a great ROM and I've kept this one loaded up longer than any other I've tried; I plan to stick with it for a while.
