reboot to recovery problem

Im rooted, using Bb v 0.4. Now i wanted to try a new theme. well when i hold power button + x on reboot, my phone just sits for like 20secs with motorola logo and restarts itself on its own and boots phone normally. Cant figure out why it will not boot to recovery.

Use Rom Manager to reflash Sprecovery or Clockwork Recovery.

I am running BB 0.4 rooted with a theme. Continuing what BayouFylFisher stated, which are you running? SP or ClockWorld?
