Razr tethering

I heard there is a way to tether for free? Not sure if this is illegal, or if it voids your warranty or what not. The program was called Free Tethering, but this was on a Droid X2 I heard about it. Can we tether for free?

Yes its called wifi tether. U have to root ur phone to use it. I had it on my dx. I ran xbox live with my dx. Cant wait too see what the razr can do after i root it

Well, im sure its not what you are looking for but just as an FYI it can also tether through Bluetooth.
I am using my Razr to tether with my wifi Xoom with no rooting or extra apps with no problems.

not at all...never got got the hot spot feature and haven't gotten the VZ reroute trying to get me to sign up for it either.

honestly....not sure, I just paired them together noticed that it had a separate Bluetooth icon than the normal one which noted it was tethering so pulled up the browser and it was running.

Droid RAZR and I also showed this to my friend who has now tethered his Droid 2 to his ipad 2 the same way.

I need wifi i cant run a usb to my xbox. Idk why they dont have wifi tether with out root. All the wifi tether on the market with root dont work. Seems kinda dumb to me to pay 25 bucks to post something that dont work even on a dx. Just saying

I'm using WiFi Tether for Root users (I rooted my RAZR) without any problems. The latest beta build has an option in the settings for RAZR.

Mines rooted and tethers wifi tethers perfectly. (Free app) only use it with my xoom if data gets close on its limit, but tried on xbox n laptop n wworked.
