jelly bean and wireless tethering?

What about wifi tether for root users?
My worry about hacking the stock app is that it won't connect to my Xbox. And wifi tether for root users does.

Do NOT buy SQLite Editor. last i checked version 1.5 is the last one that gave access to the "Entitlement Check".
If you look hard enough you can find the 1.5 APK floating around. I know it works cause i just rooted and did the tether hack on my buddies Razr M.
It works perfect but I couldnt get the latest release of SQLite to work.
PM me if anyone has any questions

Fix

I use "WiFi Tether for root users" and it is working fine on JB (Eclipse Rom).

I had also edited the entitlement under com.motorola.android.providers.settings, but I don't think that was necessary.

I really hope that FoxFi fixes the incompatibility with Jelly Bean. I really don't want to root but may eventually be forced to to use wifi tether.

heheh, I found the sql edit for jellybean. It's now called subscription_mode and mine was 0 changed it to 1 rebooted and used tether. Find it in settings.db / secure

Must be missing something?!

I just re-rooted razr maxx after JB update from Verizon...Downloaded SQlite V1.5..Can somebody please double check my work..?

1. Changed value under entitlement chk from 1 to 0...and its #66 if that gives you any reference..
2. Rebooted......looked all good.....Connected my daughters Ipod...says connected as normal but ipod wont load any pages..? (tried on 2 other devices and same result).

3. Went back in and changed the value back to 1....

4. Upgraded to SQlite V 2.0.1......tried again steps 1 & 2and then 3 ........now looking for "subscription_mode"...and its no where to be found. Did I drop the ball somewhere?
