Random GPS/Bluetooth Issue

Hi, everyone:

I didn't find this topic in any other thread, although I may have missed it.

I have a Droid 2 phone. In the last few days I have had two issues: first with GPS location and second with Bluetooth connection. Each time, I could get the phone to perform (either find my current location or connect to my car bluetooth device) by powering off and restarting. As I said, this has just started (I've had the phone for about one month).

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Is a system update required?

Thanks,

Marty

Is it stock or rooted? If stock, you could try a factory reset, if it is rooted, I'd suggest reflashing your ROM.

OK. So I've done a little research. I'll assume that my phone is still "stock" since I have not done anything to "root" it.

The factory reset you suggest seems like an extreme solution, since it literally wipes everything off the phone, as I'm understanding it. This includes all of the apps I've downloaded. Is this the only route?

Thanks,

Marty
