Power Surge broke USB port

I plugged my Droid X into the usb port in my computer and it turned off, i turn it back on it boots fine, now however it does not link up to my PC or charge when i plug it into the wall or the PC using the OEM charger or any other charger. But it detects that it is in fact plugged in because the green light turns on when i plug it in and turns on the phone and it was going to a screen saying ready to program and telling me what kind of link i had but it doesn't do that anymore just powers on. Does anyone know what verizon would do for me? I have insurance on the phone and the phone is not older than 1 year although this phone is a referb.

I took it in to Verizon and they said it was covered under the MF warranty. Hopefully they wont create a huge fuss over it being rooted.

If they notice, they could say you voided your waranty.

I had the same problem, and it was being caused by the app Bump.
