My S3 is showing "-1" as the count for the pop3 email icon. I have checked all folders, incl. drafts, and all are empty. Never seen a negative number for msge count before.
Okay. Tried that and re-started S3. Still reads -1 for emailmcount in default mail box. I'm stumped. Hate to do a hard reset due to having to reload all apps again.Go to settings / application manager @ the top slide to "all" go to the app badgeprovider, then hit clear data.
Have you tried removing and re-adding the email account.
Also, try settings/application manager/all/email/force stop & clear data. Note: clearing data will cause you to loose any emails that are on the phone and I think will delete the pop 3 account from the phone, but it's less trouble than factory reset.
