So I recently Rooted my X which I've had for a week now just to remove some bloatware.

When Moto decides to release 2.2 which I believe is coming any day now, can I just install the update over my rooted X?

I know I'll more than likely lose it, but should I reapply the bloatware I renamed before doing the OTA update?

Unroot and rename. You will not retain root through the upgrade anyway.

Or wait and be patient to see how to get around what we don't know yet.

You will not be able to install the OTA over a modified 2.1 install. If you restore all the bloat and make sure everything is stock you can. Since the 2.2 d2 root works on most dx 2.2 roms I would assume it will work on the new OTA (most likely) so just stock it, upgrade it, root it, and remove the bloat on 2.2

Worst case youll need to sbf to stock, update OTA, then root/cleanup
