Droid X update failed. Need additional info from you!

Ok, so i have a DX rooted on 2.2 and I removed lots of bloatware and stupidly did not know about backing up before. So when I try to update to the 2.3, get "Update Failed" I have been trying to reinstall my bloatware, but I seem to be making no progress because it keeps failing every time i try.

So I have read about something called "SBF" being able to restore it? Can someone explain to me what this is and how to do it without bricking my smarbox?
