If you love to root and rom then you know that it can often be a painful process to update to the latest official ota for your device once it is released. You have to go find a stock image and then flash it to your device. While not entirely difficult it can be annoying to have to return to complete unrooted stock to accept the official ota update just to have to reunlock, root, and flash recovery for your device. It is always much easier just to wait on the development community to release a stock rooted rom for your device that features the latest digs.
Developer "papi92" has released a flashable build of the latest 4.4 kit kat for the Nexus 7 Grouper. This is the 2012 version of the 7 inch Nexus tablet which has also not been updated as quickly as the newer version by Google. His Rom is Pure AOSP 4.4 with no customization options or tweaks.
